Description
To start, you will begin your pre-internship with us. Then, you will begin your 3-year dual study program for a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering (m/f/d) at DB Engineering & Consulting in Hamburg or Hannover. Your theory phases will take place at the bbw University in Berlin. The theory and practical phases will alternate every 3 months. At least 50% of the university courses will be conducted online. In addition, there will be learning and self-study opportunities through the online learning platform Moodle.
What to expect:
Content of theory phases:
  • Mathematical, physical, information technology, electrical engineering, and business basics
  • You will acquire specialized knowledge in areas such as materials science and design, control and circuit technology, as well as electronic design and digital electronics
  • You will also learn about measurement technology, signals and systems, electric drives, mechatronic systems, as well as high-frequency technology, optics, and light signal system technology
  • Project, quality, and environmental management, as well as technical English, are also included
Content of practical phases:
  • Insight into the essential areas of railway systems and infrastructure
  • You will participate in various projects, such as the construction and renovation of railway facilities (catenary systems, power supply systems, control and safety systems, and telecommunications systems)
