This position is responsible for directing the operations of the Bandy Heritage Center for Northwest Georgia.

Annual salary Range $71,265 to $92.645 based on education and experience.

Manages Bandy Center operations - 20%
- Hires, trains, assigns, directs, supervises, and evaluates the work of personnel.
- Develops, monitors, and controls annual budgets.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures.

Performs collection and program development functions - 25%
- Initiates, curates, designs, and manages exhibits.
- Initiates, directs and oversees the Bandy Heritage Center¿s cultural, educational, and public programming.
- Organizes, manages and develops the physical artifact and archival collection.

Develops and maintains relationships with a variety of constituents - 30%
- Serves as liaison between the Bandy Heritage Center, Dalton State College, and the community.
- Collaborates with college and community organizations to create partnerships that foster goals and initiatives.
- Identifies and cultivates relationships with potential foundation, corporate, and individual donors; researches grant opportunities.

Oversees public relations and marketing initiatives for Bandy Center- 10%
- Works in collaboration with marketing, communications, and workforce development department to initiate, and oversee the Bandy Center's website and social media assets.
- Directs public relations and marketing initiatives to increase public awareness of the Bandy Heritage Center.

Performs educational duties - 15%
- Develops and delivers community presentations.
- Sponsors outside speakers and exhibits.
- Conducts research and presents or publishes results.

Directs and oversees internships.

Educational Requirements
- Master's degree in Archival or Museum Studies or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.

Other Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years of related experience.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Archival or Museum Studies or a related field.
- Experience working in a regional or campus Archive.
- Experience in Document and Artifact Preservation.
