- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and editing legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, responses to document requests, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal procedures.
- Assist in managing and organizing case files, including maintaining electronic and physical records, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with external parties.
- Act as the front-line in liaising with other departments and leaders within the company on behalf of the legal department, including, without limitation, gathering information and documentation, scheduling meetings, and providing updates on case progress.
- Assist in managing the company's collections cases through external legal firms, which includes maintaining trackers, organizing and managing documents, coordinating document productions, and responding to requests.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings for attorneys.
- Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations relevant to the industry and provide updates to the legal team.
- Conduct legal research and analysis under the direction and supervision of legal personnel to support attorneys in case preparation, strategy, and decision-making.
- Completion of a paralegal certification program or equivalent education and experience.
- At least 4-6 years of experience working as a paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Proficient in using legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and other team members.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze legal issues and find solution.
- This position reports in-office to our corporate office in Calabasas, CA
