- Greets and escorts patients, establishing professional rapport
- Obtains vital signs and ensures patients understand exam preparations
- Coordinates patient documentation for exams and procedures
- Reviews schedules and laboratory requisitions for clinical appropriateness
- Records and updates medical records accurately
- Conducts safety screenings for MRI patients; performs i-STAT Creatine level testing for CT
- Cleans and sets up exam rooms; monitors and stocks supplies
- Ensures sterile technique for interventional radiology (IR) procedures
- Prepares relevant priors, CDs, and film copies for radiologists
- Assists technologists or radiologists during exams and procedures
- Provides pre and post-procedure care for vein patients; monitors for adverse reactions
- Performs IV skills and venipuncture as required
- Assists technical and clerical/administrative staff as needed
- Participates as a member of the Jefferson Radiology Team
- Demonstrates professional attitude, appearance, flexibility, and good judgment
- Adheres to Jefferson Radiology policies and procedures, including compliance, HIPAA, OSHA, and licensing regulations

POSITION SUMMARY: Jefferson's network is made up of 9 imaging centers with varying hours of operation. We are currently looking for motivated Medical Assistants to join the Jefferson team. Positions are available at multiple of our offices with various schedules, dependent on the location.
