The University of Jena is currently seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Head of the Occupational Safety / Healthy University Department to be filled as soon as possible.

The department, which reports directly to the Chancellor, is responsible for central tasks in the areas of occupational, health, and environmental protection, as well as other related topics (e.g. organizational fire protection, hazardous materials).

Your responsibilities:

You are responsible for strategically ensuring occupational safety and will in the future consolidate all relevant activities related to the overarching topics of "Healthy Work" and "Healthy Studies" at the university.

You and your team advise and support the university's executive board and managers on all matters related to occupational, health, and environmental protection, as well as related topics.

You ensure the sustainable development of the occupational, health, and environmental management system, promote interdisciplinary exchange on occupational safety and healthy work, and initiate an improvement in safety culture and the development of safety and health awareness.

You assess accident and health risks
