Senior Manager, Quality AssurancePosition Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Quality Assurance to join our team.
Reporting to the CTO, VP, or Director of Quality, the Senior Manager will oversee quality programs across multiple plants, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and guidance to plant-based Quality Managers/Leaders to ensure consistent implementation of quality programs.
Standardize quality systems and processes across multiple plants, in alignment with corporate policies and guidelines.
Collaborate with corporate and plant staff to monitor and reduce defects, rework, and claims.
Mentor and support plant Quality Managers in implementing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes.
Represent the company in interactions with customers, suppliers, and external auditors.
Essential Duties:
Guide Quality staff in fulfilling the requirements of the Quality Management System.
Conduct performance reviews and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Drive continual improvement initiatives through analysis of root causes and coordination of corrective actions.
Serve as a technical resource, providing guidance on quality-related issues and solutions.
Facilitate training on quality systems and procedures for plant personnel.
Host audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with quality specifications and standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 7-10 years of experience in quality management.
Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems.
Experience with Oracle ERP system implementation and support preferred.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new software systems.
Additional Skills:
Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with quality assurance standards and practices.
ASQ or AIAG certifications are a plus.
