    Description


    Job Summary: The HRBP is a strategic partner and advocate for employees and leaders within the healthcare organization. This role is responsible for implementing HR programs, policies, and initiatives that support the overall mission and objectives of the healthcare facility. The HRBP maintains an effective level of department knowledge and operations to effectively collaborate with leadership to address workforce challenges, enhance employee engagement, and drive organizational effectiveness. Reports to Human Resource Officer. Non-exempt position.

    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Strategic HR Planning:
      • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand organizational goals and align HR strategies accordingly.
      • Develop and implement HR plans and programs to support the achievement of business objectives.
      • Works closely with management and senior leadership to identify ways to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
    2. Employee Relations:
      • Address employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
      • Foster a positive work environment and resolve conflicts to maintain a healthy workplace.
      • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation to employees as needed.
    3. Talent Acquisition:
      • Work with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
      • Participate in the recruitment process, including interviewing candidates and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
      • Develops terms for new hires, promotions and transfers and initiates internal processes accordingly.
    4. Performance Management:
      • Implement and oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development plans.
      • Provide guidance to managers on addressing performance issues and fostering employee growth.
    5. Training and Development:
      • Identify training needs and collaborate with leaders to develop and implement training programs.
      • Support career development initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of healthcare professionals.
    6. Compliance:
      • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations to reduce legal risks. Works with legal counsel as needed/required.
      • Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations that may impact HR policies and practices.
      • Ensures payroll processes and timekeeping records are accurate and entered for payroll processing.
      • Ensures compliance with employee's required degrees, licenses, and certifications upon hire and at position transfers.
      • Process exit interview and termination paperwork, ensuring all legal requirements are met. Trends findings for metric analysis.
      • Maintains all HR documents in accordance with HR Retention Guidelines.
    7. Benefits Administration:
      • Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
      • Address employee inquiries related to benefits and ensure effective communication.
      • Administers FMLA leave, Worker's Comp Claims, and initiates conversations with requests under the American with Disabilities Act.
    8. HR Metrics and Reporting:
      • Compile and analyze HR metrics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
      • Prepare regular reports for leadership on key HR performance indicators.
      • Responds to employment claims with Texas Workforce Commission and files appeals, if needed.
    Qualifications:
    • Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. HR certifications a plus.
    • 1 year experience as an HRBP, or related role, in a healthcare setting preferred.
    • Must possess a strong understanding of healthcare industry regulations and compliance, and the ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
    • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
    • Must possess strong analytical and Problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups. Organizational and time management skills are paramount.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.
    FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS

    Functional Job Requirements:

    Job requirements include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting and reaching. Requires good finger dexterity, repetitive motions with hands and fingers. Requires ability to have good vision and hearing. Pushing and pulling equipment may be necessary.
