    Description

    The BD Associate will play a role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, cultivating industry relationships and engagements, and supporting the Sales team Objectives. They will leverage their research skills to identify market insights and industry trends to support the development and execution effective business development strategies aligned with the company's objectives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential clients (both primes & subcontractors), competitors, new market tools, and emerging trends aligning with Blu Omega's Capabilities
    2. Opportunity Sourcing: Research and identify potential business opportunities through various channels, including online databases and industry publications such as GovWin and G2XChange.
    3. Proposal & RFI Support: Support the writing and development of proposals and responses to requests for information (RFIs) from prospective clients and partners.
    4. Data Call Assistance: Assist in responding to data calls from clients and internal stakeholders, gathering and organizing relevant information.
    5. Sales Deck Preparation: Assist in the preparation of bi-weekly and ad hoc sales presentations for partner and client meetings.
    6. Pipeline Management: Support and maintain the business development pipeline, tracking opportunities from identification to closure, and supporting sales meetings, deal reviews and pipeline forecasting by coordinating and providing necessary data.
    7. Lead Tracking: Track and manage leads generated through marketing campaigns and networking events, ensuring leads are properly categorized, followed up on, and nurtured.
    8. CRM Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the customer relationship management (CRM) system, including updating contact details, recording interactions, and categorizing leads and opportunities appropriately.
    9. Meeting Coordination: Assist in coordinating meetings and calls with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
    10. Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the business development team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and organizing documents.
    11. Event Planning: Support the planning and execution of events, such as conferences and networking events, to generate leads and build relationships.
    12. Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities on key opportunities.
    13. Annual Account Planning: Assist in gathering data and preparing materials for the annual account planning session, including account planning documents, tracking, and monitoring.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
    • 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
    • Strong writing, analytical, and research skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software (preferred).
    Candidates must be local to the DC Metro area

    Salary Range:
    $60K - $75K
