    SUMMARY


    The Events & Marketing Lead plays a vital role in Hope & Help and is responsible for, but not limited to, designing, implementing, and managing marketing events, fundraising events, and HIV/AIDS awareness activities.

    This role is also responsible for all of Hope & Help's branding, including internal and external programs, and creating and publishing relevant, creative, and high-quality content for any necessary collateral (copy, infographics, etc.) for internal departments as requested.

    Experience in various marketing initiatives and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) is preferred, as well as photography and graphic design.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

    • Oversee the creation, planning, and implementation of all aspects of all significant annual events and other events as needed, including managing a comprehensive project plan, adhering to established timelines and budgets, and working closely with the Senior Strategy & Compliance Director to ensure successful events that meet defined goals.
    • Research, recommend, negotiate, and contract with external vendors for event execution.
    • Create and develop multi-level/media messaging for all events in conjunction with the Social Media and Marketing Specialist.
    • Ensure all constituents receive pre and post-event communications promptly.
    • Monitor fundraising progress through the development of evaluations and reports of event results.
    • Maintain an understanding of hope & help's goals and initiatives to communicate with stakeholders effectively.
    • Research new partnerships with corporate funders in coordination with ED and Senior Strategy & Compliance Director for annual events.
    • Lead private non-profit partnerships to cultivate stronger connections for help & hope and their external stakeholders.
    • Work with Senior Strategy & Compliance Director on developing fundraising targets for noteworthy events ( AWO, WAD, etc.).
    • Create, order, maintain, and inventory all promotional materials for hope & help.
    • Develop content for promotional items like fact sheets and brochures while working in conjunction with the Social Media and Marketing Specialist on newsletters, web pages, and digital signage.
    • Monitor national and community events and outreach for presences and review content analytics to make informed decisions about future content and events.
    • Ensure all content adheres to hope & help's editorial guidelines and brand standards.
    • Works in conjunction with the Social Media and Marketing Specialist as a writer and content strategist for a large variety of internal and external communications, including web copy, newsletters (internal and external) to segmented groups and a complete database, print materials, blogs, talking points, video and event scripts, and more.
    • Works with the Social Media and Marketing Specialist to write compelling pieces that address issues related to HIV and our target market with tact, emotion, sensitivity, and knowledge.
    • Works with the Social Media and Marketing Specialist to develop original editorial content for the company's channels, including written communications such as company news articles, internal newsletters, etc.

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
    Performs other work-related duties and special projects as assigned.

    • Plan, solicit, and coordinate sponsorship for the agency events
    • Be sensitive to issues involved in working in a multi-cultural, community-based organizations
    • Manage a complex workload with high production requirements
    • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficiency with core marketing and social media platforms in a workplace setting.
    • Familiarity with Orlando's event landscape, venues, vendors, and attendance patterns.
    • Knowledge of software such as Boomerang, Adobe Acrobat, and Office 365
    • Experience negotiating and managing vendor service contracts.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL OF:

    • Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Concepts and principles of infectious diseases in adult HIV-positive patients and HIPAA laws
    • Strong professional and practical communication skills, both orally and in writing
    • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to easily connect with others and effectively collaborate
    • Strong strategic planning skills and capable of developing and implementing clear goals, systems, and priorities

    ABILITY TO:

    • Read, write, and basic math skills and travel to/from worksites
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Work in diverse settings in the community
    • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's (Preferred)
    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and REGISTRATIONS

    • Valid Florida Driver's License required
