Description
The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and enhancing sanitation processes across all operational shifts.

This role involves managing the chemical control program, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and collaborating with other facilities to align sanitation best practices and standards.

The position also includes a significant focus on plant safety responsibilities. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with various teams.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Food Safety and Sanitation Compliance:

  • Enforce safety protocols and GMPs standards in the bakery.
  • Ensure all areas are ready, cleaned, and adhering to sanitation standards prior to production.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety training and meetings.
  • Review and revise sanitation procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ensure MSS is maintained and updated per requirements.
  • Manage the scheduling of cleaning and ensure documentation of cleaning procedures is accurate and uptodate.

Chemical Control Program:


  • Oversee the chemical control program, ensuring proper storage, handling, and usage of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
  • Train and supervise staff on the appropriate use of chemicals, focusing on safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain inventory of sanitation chemicals and supplies, ensuring availability and costeffectiveness.

Collaboration and Best Practices:


  • Collaborate with other facilities within the network to share, develop, and standardize sanitation best practices.
  • Develop SOP for sanitation of new equipment.
  • Participate in industry workshops and seminars to stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in sanitation processes.

Plant Safety:


  • Play a crucial role in plant safety initiatives, focusing on reducing risks.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and oversee the plant Safety Committee
  • Develop and implement training programs on safety procedures and emergency response.

Team Leadership and Development:


  • Lead, motivate, and manage the sanitation team to achieve high standards of cleanliness and compliance.
  • Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and provide career development opportunities to team members.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and lean operations within the sanitation department.

Performance Metrics:


  • Monitor key performance indicators for sanitation effectiveness, safety compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Report on sanitation and safety metrics, providing insights and action plans to senior management.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


  • Proven experience as a Sanitation Supervisor, preferably in a bakery or food manufacturing setting, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sanitation best practices
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of food safety and GMPs regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.


  • Bilingual

  • English and Spanish is required.
  • Commitment to food safety and quality standards.

Pay:
$65, $75,000.00 per year


License/Certification:
