- Responsible for maintaining a clean environment in all areas of the facility, maintaining infection control standards, and providing customer service for internal and external customers.
- Sanitation responsibilities include activities like mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, disinfecting, polishing, etc., as assigned by the Environmental Services Supervisor or Facility Services Manager.
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and preparing patient/resident rooms.
- Maintaining the sanitation, cleanliness, and appearance of public areas such as hallways, restrooms, waiting rooms, meeting rooms, and staff areas.
- Gathering soiled linens, sorting, processing, and redistributing linens throughout the facility according to procedures.
- Knowledge of cleaning machines such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
- Knowledge of the operation of laundry and linen processing machines.
- Uses cleaning chemicals according to the manufacturer's directions for use, labeling, storage, and cleanup.
- Removes damaged, torn, and stained linens from service, notifying the supervisor so appropriate inventories are maintained.

- Practices reasonable work safety procedures by wearing personal protective equipment, such as gloves, splash shields, and/or gowns, as directed and pertinent to OSHA guidelines and safe work practices.
- Properly segregates and safely handles waste and removes trash.
- Restocks supplies including but not limited to gloves, hand soap in dispensers, towels in dispensers, toilet paper, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of equivalent work experience preferred.
- Must be organized, possess strong interpersonal skills, have a high attention to detail, a desire to share knowledge, and excellent time management skills.
- Ensure the health and safety of the staff as well as the hospitalized or boarded animals
- Assist co-workers in carrying out these duties daily
- While handling multiple tasks at once with many interruptions and distractions
- Ability to work independently.
- Professional and courteous to clients and co-workers
- Special projects as assigned.
