    Job Description

    The Medical Assistant has a crucial role in healthcare facilities, supporting healthcare providers in various clinical and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include measuring vital signs, assisting in medical procedures, documenting patient information, providing patient education, managing appointments, medical records, collaborating with teams, ensuring compliance, and staying updated with medical advancements. MAs play a key role in delivering quality healthcare and supporting patient well-being in different healthcare settings.

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Medical Assistant Certification preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to multitask and adapt to workload
    • Effective communication with community members, staff, and stakeholders
    • Bilingual skills preferred

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Measuring and recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, respiratory rate)
    • Assisting in patient examinations and procedures
    • Performing basic medical procedures under supervision, like administering injections and drawing blood
    • Providing basic wound care and applying dressings
    • Accurate documentation of patient information and vital signs in health records
    • Ensuring completeness and accuracy of all documentation
    • Providing patient education on procedures, medications, and follow-up instructions
    • Addressing patient inquiries and concerns about their healthcare

    Additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor/manager.

    CRITICAL SKILLS/ REQUIREMENTS:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work professionally in a fast-paced environment
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in work
    • Capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet flexible deadlines

    Physical Demands: Fast-paced office and community work environment with local travel requirements. Involves prolonged sitting/standing, phone use, and occasional lifting (5-10 lbs.) of equipment and supplies.

    Compensation: Salary based on education and experience.
