Responsibilities:


  • Able to remain calm under pressure and adapt to an everchanging work environment.
  • Assures all calls are answered professionally and promptly, routed to proper individuals, and takes messages when necessary.
  • Checks conditions of conference rooms each morning organized (stocked with markers, dry erase cloth, correct chair count), clutterfree (no documents laying around, etc.) and dry/erase boards are clean as well as cork boards.
  • Manage conference room setup's for the day, place requested equipment / supplies (flipcharts, microphone, special room configurations, etc.) in the appropriate rooms (Lakeview / Bridgeport, The Loop, River North and/or Multi-Purpose room, etc.).
  • Responsible for maintaining the Special Event Calendar and keeping it accessible on SharePoint. Be prepared to share upcoming events every Wednesday during the Weekly Status Meeting.
  • Check The 606 Outlook mailbox. Provide answers in a timely manner not to exceed 24 hours.
  • Keep the Facilities Storage room organized and clean.
  • Sorts incoming mail for distribution and dispatches outgoing mail
  • Sort parcels for shipping and receiving.
  • Develop working knowledge of A/V equipment on site.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • 13 years experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, PDF, Power Point).
  • Excellent customer service skills; must possess a "can do" attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Assertive and resourceful; selfmotivated; willing to ask questions and take initiative.
  • Consistently demonstrates professional demeanor, appearance and attitude.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting, bending, standing, or walking.
