    Bar Harbor Bank & Trust is seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as a **Retail Support Specialist.**

    ***The location for this role is flexible, and can be based out of Newport, NH, Bangor, ME area or Vermont.***

    **Responsibilities (*Essential*):**

    Oversees the banks cash ordering system

    Maintains, monitors and analyzes reports relative to ChexSystems, surprise cash counts, the clearing of deposit exceptions, etc. Analyzes trends and works with managers and/or Training to determine and implement necessary changes to procedures, processes and training

    Review and approve ATM deposit verifications and provides guidance on placing Reg CC holds as needed

    Assists branches with ATM questions and balancing when needed

    Assists with processing daily overdrafts

    Approve questionable Deluxe Orders placed by banking centers and customers

    Serve as Retail Operations liaison for internal departments; back up the Retail Support Manager by assisting banking centers with operations and customer issues by telephone (telephone queue) or through the Retail Operations email inbox

    Review and approve legal documents for the banking centers as it pertains to account openings, deceased accounts, etc.

    Review, reconcile and address issues on a variety of items including but not limited to official items, armored car services, and Retail overs/shortages

    Write and update procedures as needed

    Provide administrative support to the Retail Operations Managers as needed

    Enthusiastically support the Banks Guiding Principles and Brand Behaviors

    Adhere to federal regulatory requirements, such as the Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Acts, and all established policies and procedures

    **Responsibilities (*Marginal*):**

    Perform other duties as requested

    **Required Education & Experience:**

    Minimum of a high school degree or the equivalent

    Working knowledge of banking systems and applications strongly preferred

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

    Self-motivated with a demonstrated aptitude and desire for customer

    Good listening and communication skills, verbal and written; ability to adapt tone and techniques to best suit the audience
