_Bilingual Medical Assistant _Medical Assistant Job Responsibilities and Duties
As a medical assistant Diagnostic Pain Center, you will be responsible for providing provider and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the clinic.
In addition, you will support doctors, nurse practitioners, and patients through various tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.
The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and on time.Job responsibilities and duties:
- Room patients and document basic medical history in the patient chart
- Follows all written protocols and procedures of the clinic
- Take vitals, document findings in the patient chart, and notify the provider of abnormal vital signs.
- Update the medication list and drug allergies in the chart
- Notify the provider of laboratory results
- Send prescriptions by fax—verbally call in prescriptions as directed by the provider.
- Do Prior Authorizations on medications, Botox, and imaging.
- Prepare patients for inoffice procedures under the supervision of the LVN, NP, or MD.
- Administer injections and collect specimens
- Assist during medical examinations
- Run fluoroscopy under the guidance of the physician
- Run Ultrasound machine under the guidance of the provider
- Triage patient calls, assess the problem, consult with the provider, document correspondence with patient and provider in the patient's chart.
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and restock as needed.
- Document procedure notes and consent patients before an inoffice procedure
Skills:
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and serviceoriented
- Punctual and selfdisciplined
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and Electronic Health Record software
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
