Position Summary


The responsibility of the Scheduling Supervisor is to work closely with the Scheduling Manager in supervising highly skilled agents in the working environment of the Scheduling Department.

Within this position are the responsibilities of overseeing the real-time, day-to-day operations and workflows of the Scheduling Department.

This position will require a trained professional who can use performance management to optimize the use of scheduling resources while supporting the Company's strategic plans and objectives.

The Scheduling Supervisor is a highly visible position, requiring an individual who is motivational, goal-oriented, dependable, and relationship-driven in achieving results from the team; while maintaining employee job satisfaction.


Detailed Responsibilities

  • Administer annual, 60day, and Adhoc individual Performance Evaluations inline with the Company's performance standards: Quality, Customer Care, Operational Efficiency, and Professionalism.
  • Develop individual staff goals and productivity targets using data collection and reporting.
  • Facilitate Time Off Requests.
  • Completes Biweekly Timecards for Payroll.
  • Engages Questions & Answers from Staff.
  • Supports team and individuals in line with the Company's mission, vision, values, and goals.
  • Ensures proper scheduling staffing and job functions is covered and used effectively to service customers.
  • Responsible for screening, interviewing and hiring new staff members as required.
  • Seeks opportunities for Process Improvement. Focus to improve quality, service and efficiency of the Scheduling Department.
  • Completes Quality Call monitoring and delivers timely feedback and results.
  • Ability to make sound, logical decisions pertaining to the Scheduling department in the absence of Manager and Director.
  • Training and Development: Seek opportunity for staff development; implement effective training. Assesses training needs and provides ongoing guidance and staff development.
  • Coaches staff in problem solving techniques along with alternative ways to accomplish tasks.
  • Upholds and manages to HR Policies and Procedures.
  • Ability to administer disciplinary actions and other escalation involving staff related concerns.
  • Accepts escalated Referring Physician and Patient calls both positive and negative in order to achieve quality and service. Assists with special cases and escalation calls (internal and external).
  • Revise resource materials and job tools to reflect current practices and workflows.
  • Further Develop WIKI resource tool.
  • Build solid work relationships and serve as a liaison to other departments within SMIL.
  • Uphold statistical service level requirements in the Scheduling Department (i.e. Abandon%, TAT, etc.)
  • Identifies and reports to the Scheduling Manager any potential problems or successes within the Scheduling Department.
  • Participates in team and supervisory meetings; and other ad hoc committees.
  • Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned or requested.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 2+ Years Medical Supervisor Experience preferred.
  • Professional Training Certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Radiology/Medical Industry related Certification is a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear.

The employee is frequently required to sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus.
