    Job description

    The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Director of Clinical Education supports the Program Director in various administrative aspects such as curriculum development and accreditation activities. They may also provide instruction in cases where the Program Director lacks the necessary credentials. All associates are expected to demonstrate professionalism and uphold the organization's Mission and core values, which include respect for the individual, integrity, teamwork, customer service, and achievement.

    Key Responsibilities :

    • Securing and maintaining clinical affiliation agreements.
    • Developing and refining the clinical education component of the curriculum, coordinating clinical education with didactic instruction, evaluating clinical education affiliates, ensuring compliance with program requirements by all students.
    • Maintaining and reviewing student records
    • Training clinical instructors
    • Attend all local ARDMS or AIUM societies and other Diagnostic Medical Sonographer community functions when not conflicting with school duties.
    • Maintaining supervisory responsibility for students at clinical sites
    • Documenting visits to clinical sites, attending relevant community functions, and being available to address student issues at any time during clinical practice.
    • Additionally, the director must ensure complete and accurate clinical documentation and fulfill other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
    • In the absence of the Program Director, the Director of Clinical Education takes on the Program Director's duties and responsibilities.

    Experience & Education:

    • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
    • Minimum credentials of Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with specialty certifications in both OB/Gyn & Abdominal and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
    • Minimum of 4 years Clinical experience
    • Preferred experience with educating students in a clinical setting
