Their work includes financing, securities lending, and other services for institutional investors - Fixed Income, Currency, and Commodities teams transact in a variety of assets, including interest rate products (such as government bonds, treasury bills, and other highly liquid instruments), credit products, mortgages, currencies, and commodities
- Urban Investment Group (UIG) makes tax credit equity investments, real estate investments and loans, and provides senior loan facilities in order to empower underserved communities and enable long-term equitable growth
UIG manages the investing and lending strategies for GS Bank USA's Community Reinvestment Act requirements and the firm's investments in Opportunity Zones and is a significant contributor to the firm's One Million Black Women and 10,000 Small Businesses initiatives
Real estate investments range from opportunistic ground-up development to core plus acquisitions of affordable and workforce housing portfolios
UIG has committed $12 billion to create access to affordable housing, healthcare, education, and capital for low-income people and small businesses - Real Estate team supports real estate investing across multiple product types across the US
This includes sourcing, underwriting and due diligence, acquisitions, asset management, construction and development oversight, financings and dispositions for the firm's real estate investments - Finance, Management, and Execution team executes on strategic initiatives at a regional and global level, manages financial and operational risk, and helps drive returns though various capital and workflow efficiency initiatives
Additionally, the FME team supports closing investments and facilitating communications between investing teams and various support areas - Bachelor's degree
- 0-3 years of prior work experience in a relevant field
- Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
