GENERAL SUMMARY:


Responsible for managing the day-to-day business operations of Radiation Oncology, including Proton Center, at Sibley Memorial Hospital, reporting to NCR Director, Radiation Oncology.

Responsibilities include managing, coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day operations on site.

The manager will respond to the needs of multiple faculty members, supervise staff, provide coverage, and work with NCR Director, Radiation Oncology to manage a growing and dynamic program.

Oversees the Radiation Therapy Department's commitment to excellence in customer service, is carried out throughout the daily workday.


MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and training.

Three years of relevant experience required.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


As a member of the Radiation Oncology operations leadership team, oversees daily operations of administrative services to assure safe, timely, and compassionate patient care.

Manage administrative and support staff. Collaboratively with counterparts across the department and Sibley.

Manage staff in areas of oversight, providing necessary training and monitoring competencies. Assures proper coverage and trained back-up for all affected positions. Offer mentorship to support staff growth.

Works with physician leadership on workflow issues related to system changes for providers. Provide administrative support on workflow issues in collaboration with nurse manager, chief radiation therapists, and physician leadership. Maintains departmental physician templates in Epic


Coordinates all clinical schedules of physicians as directed by the clinical director to ensure smooth flow, optimal schedule utilization, and maximum patient access.

Partners with Nurse Manager and Providers to coordinate staff and physician staffing.

Create and maintain provider on-call, doctor of the day, and meeting/vacation schedules under the director of clinical director. Provide administrative support as requested.

Oversees on-site registration. Ensures all registration tasks are complete, including the hospital account record (HAR).

Facilitates the access of our services to patients and physicians. Ensures a welcoming and professional environment for patients and families.
