Operation SafeHouse, with community support, provides emergency shelter, intervention and outreach services to runaway, homeless or other youth in crisis. SafeHouse offers youth positive alternatives to becoming victims of the streets.

Operation SafeHouse is seeking a Youth Care Staff in its Thousand Palms, CA location. Several shifts available Day and Evening both full-time and part-time. Flexible schedules for college students.

Essential duties include (but are not limited to):

• Youth supervision in a group setting
• Meal preparation
• Crisis intervention
• Daily documentation
• Group facilitation
• Answering phones
• Processing donations

Shift schedules may include WEEKENDS and HOLIDAYS on occasion.

Prior experience working with adolescents preferred. All potential hires will undergo a background check. Must have a current driver's license and clean driving record.


Qualifications:

• High School Diploma and 2 yrs experience working with adolescents in the human service field.
• Intake experience
