    The Purchasing/Receiving Clerk provides support for a U.S Department of Labor Job Corps contractor. The Job Corps program is a federally-funded residential training program. The mission of Job Corps is to provide career-ready technical and basic skills (academic) training and job placement assistance to program eligible youth ages


    Summary of Duties:

    The Purchasing/Receiving Clerk is responsible for assisting the Purchasing and Property Coordinators by checking in shipments received and distributing supplies as needed and requested.

    Description of Duties*:

    • Communicates with Finance and Property Departments for exchange of required information.
    • Ensures timely processing of inventory received.
    • Accurately types all required information.
    • Demonstrates the ability to transfer data from one document to another with an emphasis on detail and error recognition.
    • Performs related data entry and data verification essential and consistent with purchasing guidelines.
    • Makes contact with vendors as required.
    • Maintains department files, records and logs.
    • Ensures files, records and logs are maintained in sequential or other prescribed methods and that documents reflect quality by maintaining all information in a systematic format for easy review and auditing.
    • Provides necessary equipment and furniture inventories to ensure property is accounted for and maintained properly.
    • Maintains Center and warehouse property.
    • Delivers requested materials from the Warehouse to ordering department.

    Education/Experience:

    • High school diploma required.
    • One-year experience preferred.

    • $36,961/year
    • M-F 8 am to 5 pm
