    PURPOSE OF JOB: To ensure an efficient process for all Admit Day of Surgery and Same Day Services patients, by coordinating the necessary nursing assessments, documentation, preadmission testing and other pertinent information required for each patient prior to their scheduled day of surgery/procedure
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    Coordinates the preoperative assessment of the patient's pre surgical/procedure episode of care.Ensures completion/receipt of required preadmission items prior to the day of surgery/procedure.
    Effectively communicates with patients/significant others, providers, office staffs,

Associates and other healthcare providersDemonstrates ongoing competence in nursing assessment and decision-making skills.**
Job Qualifications:**V.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • BSN strongly preferred
  • Current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing, Commonwealth of


  • Pennsylvania

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years varied clinical experience
  • Other Skills: Certified in B.L.S. for healthcare provided
  • Excellent Interpersonal and team building skill
  • Computer skills with EMR and Microsoft Products
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
  • Able to multitask
