Essential Job Functions

Etch I (Entry level)

  • Perform job related tasks as instructed by supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Maximize productivity by maintaining a constant load on conveyor.
  • Read and understand applicable Process Procedures and safety rules.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

Etch II (Operator level)

  • Perform all Etch I defined tasks above.
  • Set up and operate etcher with mínimal supervision.
  • Use measuring devices such as eye loops and microscopes.
  • Visually inspect panel's quality and make required adjustments.
  • Discontinue processing when a nonconforming condition is found and report it to management.
  • Perform all tasks and routine maintenance as required by Process Procedure.
  • Accurately complete all departmental quality and lot tracking documentation.
  • Assist other operators, when time allows.

Etch III (Advanced Operator level)

  • Perform all Etch I & II defined tasks above.
  • Collaborate with management/ shift supervisor to ensure appropriate personnel is scheduled to meet the departmental goals while minimizing costs.
  • Actively seek process improvement activities to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
  • Support and enforce company policy and procedures.
  • Assist in training assigned personnel.
  • Schedule Preventive Maintenance for departmental equipment.

Requirements:


Qualifications

Etch I

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Excellent work ethics, detail oriented and selfmotivated.
  • Be a team player and work well with others.
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), as required by work area.
  • Able to safely work with chemicals.
  • Able to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, as required, in support of departmental and company goals.

Etch II (including level I)

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in printed circuit board etching and be able to satisfactorily perform each task for Etch I operator.
  • Able to work with mínimal supervision.
  • Flexible and willing to crosstrain in other areas.

Etch III (including level I & II)

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in printed circuit board etching.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Indepth experience and knowledge of etching system capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of complex board manufacturing including but not limited to military rigid and rigidflex board manufacturing.
  • Understanding of industry standards and specifications (IPC).
  • Able to effectively communicate with management and supervisory staff.
  • Able to understand Material Safety Data sheets (MSD/ MSDS) related to the department.

Physical Requirements (all levels)

  • Ability to consistently lift 25 pounds.
  • Able to repeatedly walk approximately 20 feet to load/ unload etcher.
  • Able to walkin uneven flooring.
  • Able to work with chemicals.
