HOW YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE


The Research Associate III will support one large evaluation project and/or two or more small evaluation projects, focused on HIV and sexual health.

Primary responsibilities include implementing equitable evaluations focused on communities of color and Black women; cultivating and maintaining community-based partnerships; and developing deliverables, reports, presentations, and other multi-media materials to document and disseminate projects in creative, engaging, and inspiring ways.

Current projects for which responsibility may be assigned include COMPASS, Setting the P.A.CE, All of Us, Teen Talk Prevention, and other sexual health and HIV projects.


This position works remotely and can be located anywhere in the United States.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Education, Program Evaluation, Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, or related area; educational background in research and evaluation preferred.
  • At least 6+ years postMaster's experience, including serving as an evaluator on a research project for at least 1 year.
  • Experience with randomized controlled trials preferred.
  • Experience evaluating large scale projects.
  • Strong leadership skills as evidenced by independent direction of a research project.
  • Extensive content/methodology expertise and ability to interface with partner organizations.
  • Ability to adapt to timeline adjustments and reorganize work accordingly.
  • Responsible and able to follow through on all tasks with mínimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage several tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Willingness to ask questions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytic, verbal, and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage and mentor junior staff successfully.
  • Experience in research and evaluation design, instrument development, quantitative and qualitative data collection/management/analysis.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 Suite (Excel desired) and SPSS or similar analysis program.
  • The use of a personal vehicle or rental car for ETR business will require a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

Preferred:


  • Extensive experience working collaboratively with communities of color and Black women either through lived experience or research/evaluation.
  • Knowledge of evaluation models and frameworks.
  • Experience using equitable evaluation methods.
  • Ability to think critically and problemsolve.
  • Knowledge of HIV and other sexual health topics
