  • Primary Responsibilities_
  • Coordinate, organize, and schedule projects to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Direct and support team activities by promoting an enjoyable work environment and motivating high performance
  • Provide timely projectspecific feedback to ensure staff learning and development
  • Delegate audit assignments in a manner that maximizes direct reports' opportunities to earn productionbased incentive compensation
  • Review complete set of financial statements and related disclosures to ensure conformity with applicable reporting requirements
  • Review work papers to ensure that compliance with auditing standards and the firm's quality control standards
  • Research accounting issues and provide solutions
  • Properly plan, lead, and manage engagements to ensure timely completion
  • Maintain CPA license through adequate Continuing Professional Education (CPE) units
  • Assist in special projects assigned by partners
  • Develop new client contacts and relationships that are beneficial to the firm
  • Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
  • Minimum Qualifications_
  • CPA certification required
  • Minimum 5 years professional auditing experience, with at least 3 years as a senior associate or higher
  • Valid authorization to work in the United States of America
  • Ability to report primarily to the firm's Lufkin, TX office and provide own transportation as needed to meet clients on their premises.
  • Ability to accommodate mínimal overnight travel (<25% annually)

  • Additional Preferred Qualifications_
  • Prior experience in the areas of accounting, financial reporting, or internal or external audit within one of the following industries: financial institutions, electric utility cooperatives, construction contractors
  • Compensation and Benefits_
  • Base compensation starting at $90,000, increasing with level of education, experience, and relevant credentials
