- Implement continuous process improvement activities using statistical techniques and lean methodology.
- Manage the First Article approval process with suppliers and internal functions.
- Analyze supplier reject data and recommend suppliers for the ship-to-stock program.
- Support manufacturing personnel with issues related to defective material, lack of documentation, or process problems.
- Handle Material Test Reports and First Article submissions.
- Assist receiving inspection with questionable goods and coordinate with Engineering.
- Create and distribute NCR reports periodically.
- Organize in-house and offsite calibration.
- Review and process NCRs from suppliers, and create corrective action reports.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding rejected products and non-conformances.
- Track and follow up on action plans for corrective measures.
- Conduct internal audits and develop action plans for non-conformances.
- Lead onsite third-party audits (ISO-9001, CSA, UL).
- Organize training sessions for employees on quality-related topics.
- Focus on enhancing supplier quality through audits and continuous improvement efforts.
- Effectively communicate quality issues across all company departments.
- Lead the development of Control Plans, PFMEAs, and Work Instructions.
- Handle projects independently and achieve key milestones promptly.
- Demonstrate proficiency in modern measurement techniques.
- Up to 10% travel, both domestically and internationally.
- Require a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Quality Engineer in the Electro-Mechanical field.
- Experience in assembly, testing, and/or failure analysis.
- Proficient with measurement tools such as CMM, micrometers, calipers, and thread gauges.
- Strong understanding of statistics.
- Ability to interpret and apply GD&T tolerancing.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven teamwork and leadership abilities.
- Preferably, Lead Auditor experience.
- Desirable knowledge of Automotive PPAP.
- Foreign language skills are advantageous.
- Ability to comprehend scientific and technical content as well as communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in mathematical operations for various tasks.
- Apply logical thinking to solve problems efficiently.
- Handle complex symbolic representations.
- Deal with abstract and concrete variables effectively.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 LBS.
- Specific vision abilities including close vision and depth perception.
- Ability to travel to various locations.
- Regular work in assembly areas, warehouses, and office environments.
