Position Overview:


Responsibilities:


  • Provide individualized instruction to students in AP Computer Science, covering topics such as programming, data structures, algorithms, and objectoriented design.
  • Develop and implement customized lesson plans and study materials based on each student's needs and learning style.
  • Help students understand complex concepts and improve problemsolving skills.
  • Prepare students for the AP Computer Science exam through practice tests, review sessions, and targeted feedback.
  • Track and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods and materials as needed.
  • Stay updated on the AP Computer Science curriculum and exam requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and Pivot Tutors' staff to provide progress updates and address any concerns.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of computer science principles, programming languages (such as Java), and the AP Computer Science curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for education and helping students achieve their academic goals.
