The position is located in Hanover, MD.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee technical projects in alignment with organizational goals
  • Create an overall IT strategy based on the direction of the Company and its subsidiaries with enough flexibility to change as the Company's direction changes
  • Develop, implement, and maintain strong security safeguards, backup strategies, and business continuity and disaster recovery plans. This includes ensuring that the IT infrastructure at Eccalon is compliant with NIST standards including NIST and NIST
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cloudbased and onpermise systems including storage, computational and networking elements.
  • Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess technology needs, and system requirements.
  • Coach, motivate, and manage department managers through business planning, goal setting, weekly meetings, action plans, and establishing overall department direction.
  • Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures in conjunction with Eccalon business objectives.
  • Manage and assist a centralized helpdesk including support, purchasing, and new technology implementations including onpremise cloudlets and cloud services.
  • Administer and offer support for Office 365 including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
  • Drive continual improvement by staying abreast of emerging technology and by benchmarking against industry standards and best practices
  • Support acquisition diligence and lead IT integration efforts
  • Determine the goals and objectives of IT within broad outlines provided by executive management and provides necessary technical leadership and project coordination
  • Set and ensure compliance to policies including Computer Acceptable Use policy, Approved Software list and Hardware Standard list.
  • Ensure data integrity, provides robust data support for decision making throughout the organization, and provide data views anticipating organization needs as they arise and as new technologies in data management emerge.
  • Manage outside vendor contracts and activities including (but not limited to) managed service provider, phone vendor, and managed print services.
  • Website development and management
  • Manage and monitor financial aspects of the IT department including expenses, purchasing, budgeting, profitability, and budget review.
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for adequate technology infrastructure and systems for all ITC departments and locations.
  • Maintain ITC data integrity and manage ITC data systems.
  • Maintain regular written and inperson communications with the organization's executives, department heads and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
  • Coordinate activities in support of user training and assistance requests for all programs
  • Act as program manager on all new software implementations or upgrades, ensuring the correct team members are involved and deliverables and timelines are met
  • Assist in providing computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users.
  • Responsible for asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment
  • Manage and develop IT staff (both direct and indirect employees)
  • High degree of flexibility and problem solving
  • Ability to focus on computer screens for extensive periods of time
  • Ability to stand, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Networking, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical or business field
  • 10+ years of experience in IT
  • 5+ years in an IT leadership role
  • 5+ years of experience with NIST compliance standards
  • 3+ years of experience with Office 365 support including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
  • 3+ years of experience in Federal requirements for IT in areas of NIST compliance, cybersecurity, supporting of secret, and topsecret contract execution within the Department of Defense and Department of Energy
  • Ability to travel to different Company sites to support IT functions across the Company and its subsidiary portfolio businesses.
  • Experience in PC, MAC, Microsoft surfaces and server operating system environments
  • Possess demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Cultivate relationships with employees, vendors, clients, and industry professionals.
  • Dependable, professional, organized, detailed oriented and consistent in developing employees.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and manage new systems related to information technology.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to interface with and communicate IT concepts to other business departments.
  • Ability to manage crossfunctional teams and multidisciplinary projects.
  • Ability to influence, lead, and delegate

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master's degree
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
