The Department of Library for Educational History Research is seeking a
Data Management Employee for the DFG project "Between Alija and Flight: Jewish Youth Associations and Zionist Education under the Nazi Regime and in Pre-State Israel ":45% of regular weekly working hours.
The location is Berlin.
As part of the project, the BBF Archive is responsible for securing the sources collected in international archives.
Your tasks:
- Capturing descriptive and content metadata for 20th century text and image sources
- Reviewing and enriching existing metadata and digitized materials
- Collecting and recording biographical information
- Participating in regular project meetings and exchanging information with researchers on data structuring questions
Requirements:
- University degree in a humanities field, preferably Judaic Studies or Data Management
- Excellent understanding of technical systems
- Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
