Camp Aspen, 5300 Broad River Rd., Columbia, SC 29212

We are looking for Juvenile Justice Specialists | Youth Development Specialists to join our team at Camp Aspen in Columbia, South Carolina. Join us in helping at-risk adolescents transform their futures.


Camp Aspen is a residential program focused on providing services to juvenile offenders in need of substance abuse education and support.

Camp Aspen accommodates 30 boys aged 12-19 referred by the South Carolina Department of Justice.

This is an opportunity for you to inspire and support youth while contributing to your community.

Salary:
$15.00 per hour

Shift: 2nd Shift

2nd Shift: 3 pm - 11 pm

As a Juvenile Justice Specialist | Youth Development Specialist, you will offer guidance and mentoring to at-risk youth.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to protocols, program policies, and client interventions.
  • Supervises clients to ensure safety and security during daily activities.
  • Maintains facility security, including headcounts and client movement monitoring.
  • Intervenes when needed and implements Safe Crisis Management techniques.
  • Organizes and documents group sessions and client activities.

Hiring Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Noncommunicable diseases physical exam.
  • At least twentyone (21) years of age.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Satisfactory completion of background screening and relevant checks.
  • Proficiency with computers and department software.
