As our company is growing and additional production shifts are in demand, we are seeking 1st and 2nd shift Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Melrose Park, IL.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of all equipment related to the manufacturing of our award-winning cheeses.

Repairs to machinery as well as preventative maintenance are the main responsibilities of this position with the goals of improved reliability and more efficient runtimes.

Shift hours are M-F:
7AM-3PM and 3PM-11:30PM respectively with weekends and overtime as necessary.

Position duties include but are not limited to the following:_

• Break down production equipment pre sanitation.
• Set up production equipment post sanitation.
• Chopping, dicing, grating, shredding equipment.
• Ribbon blenders.
• Conveyor belt systems.
• Both linear and rotary scale systems such as Ishida, Yamato.
• Volumetric filling machines such as Mateer Burt, Allfill.
• Bagging machines such as Triangle, Matrix, Hayssen, Viking and others.
• Inkjet, labelling systems.
• Metal detection and X ray equipment.
• Box tapers, palletizing equipment, stretch wrapping.
• Troubleshooting of equipment and production line failures.
• Initiate Lockout Tagout procedures.
• Performing comprehensive mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Performing comprehensive electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience with V electrical troubleshooting.
• Motors, gear boxes, vfd, sensors, controllers, photoeye registrations and HMI panels.
• Performing comprehensive pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
• Maintain and promote a safe work environment for department and all company employees.
• Communicate with line supervisors, production manager and maintenance manager throughout daily procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance and daily inspections paperwork.
• Support and maintain Safe Quality Food documentation and policies.
• Support and maintain CMMS software and workorders.
• Support and maintain equipment installations.

Requirements:_

• 3 yrs Food Maintenance experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Driver's License required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Tools required.
• Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
• Working knowledge of SQF, GMP, and OSHA standards.

Compensation:

• Pay range $35$50/hr and is based on experience.
