- Communication (facilitation and mature communication skills to be able to communicate to all areas of the project team and client when necessary).
- Accountable for all aspects of the project components from start to completion.
- Support proposal generation by National Account team and overall sales process as required/when needed.
- Accompanies sales staff on customer calls to provide technical expertise and solutions when needed.
- Create preliminary/concept, quotation, approval, permit, installation, and fabrication drawings.
- Build equipment list and issue purchase orders for project components.
- Handling projects consisting of bin shelving, pallet rack, pallet flow, carton flow, push back rack, rack and bin shelving supported mezzanines/pick modules, mezzanines, etc.
- Assemble a bill of materials based on the customer's information and/or internal/external drawings.
- Facilitate project coordination after receipt of orders and project management during and after installation.
- Work with project management and install teams with on-site support.
- Source vendors for material and installation/labor pricing.
- Hold vendors accountable for scope deliverables.
- Work with various vendors, installers, city officials, customers, and internal resources in order to ensure project completion and overall best solution for the customer.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel to various job sites in the U.S. when needed
- Ability to think outside of the box and understand the broad category needs
- Experience in multiple warehouse automation applications (Conveyor System Design, Automated Sortation, Rack, Structures, Pick Modules, Pick to Light, Voice Pick, etc.).

POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Engineer will oversee concurrent projects and vendors to develop automated warehouse systems and storage solutions to improve operation efficiency for the customer. The project engineer will be designing, pricing, implementing, and commissioning custom tailored solutions ranging from warehouse storage to automated material handling systems. This will also include project plans, budgets, and oversight of all equipment procurement.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: 4 year degree is preferred (Engineering Preferred)
Experience: 3 years of Automation/Logistics/Supply Chain Industry Mechanical Engineering, Material Handling experience required (Carton Conveyor, Rack, Mezzanines, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), automated guided vehicles (AGV's), etc.), mechanical and electrical integration experience with the above systems).
Computer Skills: Strong AutoCAD, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, & Word experience
