V.) is a non-profit organization that supports people struggling with addiction and homelessness on their journey towards personal change, strengthening their self-responsibility and self-determination, and promoting their integration into society. The Drogenkonsumraum Niddastrasse, run by Integrative Drogenhilfe e.

V., is located in the heart of Frankfurt's train station district and is used by drug users in acute phases of addiction.

Here, they can consume their illegal substances under hygienic conditions. The staff at the consumption room are constantly present and able to react quickly in crisis situations. The harm-reducing, scene-oriented work concept is focused on health prevention and survival assistance.

In addition to providing hygienic consumption options and needle exchange, clients are informed about topics such as safer use and safer sex, as well as transmission routes and risks of infectious diseases.

In case of drug emergencies, the staff provide first aid measures.

The specially trained staff at the consumption room actively promote the motivation for change among drug users and initiate necessary first steps.
