***The United Nations Global Compact is the world's largest sustainability initiative with over 20,000 participating companies in over 160 countries and 60 Local Networks around the world. As a special initiative of the UN Secretary-General, the UN Global Compact is a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with Ten Principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. The Academy serves as the digital learning platform of the UN Global Compact, providing business leaders and practitioners with actionable skills they can use to advance their sustainability journeys. The Academy is experiencing significant growth worldwide, and offers a diverse learning portfolio spanning across key topics such as climate action, human rights, gender equality and forward looking trends, delivered through innovative, and impactful engagement formats designed for a busy business audience.


The Foundation for the Global Compact is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Manager who excels not only as a project manager but also as a strong communicator.

In this role, you will spearhead planning and development to grow the roll out and adaptation of the UN Global Compact Academy and Peer Learning Groups across global, regional, and national levels.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY

  • Manage UN Global Compact Academy growth and partnership strategy.
  • Lead the team in crafting endtoend engagement strategies and material for our learning programme portfolio, working closely with issue experts across the Global Compact portfolio (climate and environment, gender, labour and human rights, anticorruption etc) as well as leading companies and other U.N. agencies
  • Lead on the input and drafting of the Academyrelated marketing, social media and other promotional materials in close collaboration with the global communications and marketing teams
  • Manage Academy awareness building efforts including targeted value proposition for different regions and user segments as part of engagement and outreach campaigns to increase adaptation.
  • Coordinate the UN Global Compact Peer Learning portfolio from preparation to delivery and evaluation, working closely with Global Compact Networks and issue leads.
  • Accountable for the Academy reporting and survey management
  • Measure and monitor programme satisfaction and impact. Conduct research, feedback surveys, and event analysis; produce resources and presentations on project and portfolio activities.
  • Manage interns, project consultants and junior staff. Perform other activities and tasks related to other priority projects and initiatives of the Global Compact Office and issue areas as needed.

QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • First degree or bachelor's in business administration, marketing & communications, sustainability, international relations, or related fields
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or activities and coordinate collaborative work processes involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Experience in creating communication, marketing, and/or fundraising materials.
  • Ability to work proactively in an ambitious and dynamic environment
  • Some experience with learning management systems preferred.
  • Flexible and serviceoriented team player.
