The Role at a Glance

  • This position provides executive leadership, direction, and functional expertise to ensure departmental results for his/her assigned area(s) within the Enterprise Technology and Operations (ETO) organization. S/he is responsible for developing, implementing, communicating, and managing all distributed compute (Windows, Linux, and AIX), domain services (Active Directory, Azure Active Directory), distributed storage (block and NAS) and data protection services, organizations, and programs within the core infrastructure services team.
    What you'll be doing
  • Plan, build, run and manage enterprisewide distributed compute, domain services, distributed storage, and data protection services, including infrastructure service strategies, plan development, plan execution, management of all infrastructure delivery, operations functions, IT budgets and continuous availability and capacity requirements.
  • Provide executive leadership and management responsibility for all distributed compute, domain services, distributed storage, and data protection services with a major focus on engineering and operations while achieving all project schedules, financial estimates, ensuring adequacy of endstate production performance, capacity management and system availability.
  • Provide executive leadership and management responsibility for the execution, completion, and continuous improvement of all distributed compute, domain services, distributed storage, and data protection services.
  • Provide executive leadership and direction with core infrastructure services consumption of Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Azure Event Hub, Azure Arc, Windows/Linux Server on Azure and Azure Stack HCI and usage of generative AI to advance capabilities.
  • Manage and advance distributed compute, domain services, distributed storage and data protection communications to internal management, internal stakeholders, audit committee(s), steering committee(s), business unit management and external stakeholders including regulators, auditors, and customers.
  • Directs, establishes, and implements, and evaluates priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure departmental results for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Provides strategic leadership and direction to continually improve the capability and results for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. Directs/executes approved strategy decisions and contributes to strategy creation for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Drives and directs the development of strategy for innovative infrastructure and operations solutions, in collaboration with key business stakeholders to anticipate and address current and evolving business needs, opportunities and trends.
  • Manage and enforce all distributed compute, domain services, distributed storage and data protection policies, standards, contracts, service providers, along with associated servicelevel agreements (SLAs), for external service providers, as required.
  • Initiate and manage distributed compute, domain services, distributed storage and data protection infrastructure capacity planning and coordination with key IT technology groups in support of specific business unit initiatives focusing on proactively ensuring an adequate infrastructure performance and capacity ecosystem.
  • Maintains knowledge on current industry and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies.
  • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.

What we're looking for

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (10 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) in leading distributed compute, domain services, distributed storage and data protection organizations and technology solutions (Minimum Required).
  • 10+ Years' experience in leading engineering and delivery for distributed compute, domain services, distributed storage and data protection services and solutions management that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position, including 5+ years of executive managerial, and/or demonstrated executive leadership experience (required).
