We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has strong interpersonal skills and a desire to cultivate positive relationships and provide exceptional service.


The position of Select Business Unit (SBU), Account Executive (AE) is a client-facing role responsible for managing their assigned client book of business ('book') directly to assure there is repeated success and that their clients are fully satisfied.

SBU AE's also prospect and sell new SBU business organically and through collaboration with TRG Commercial Lines Producers. While this position is predominately remote, in person attendance is required periodically for training, team building and collaboration.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Maintain overall client relationship with each client on their assigned book.
  • DaytoDay client correspondence.
  • Collect and disseminate plan documents.
  • Complete Request for Proposal (RFP)
  • Contact vendors, prepare comparison, etc.
  • Conduct Open Enrollment (OE) educational sessions (Preparation & Presentation).
  • Manage the preparation of enrollment materials and employee communications; coordinate completion and meetings.
  • Create and update Benefits-AtA-Glance (BAAGs) for SBU clients with 3+ benefits (Design, Review, Deliver).
  • Manage all aspects of plan renewals and carrier changes.
  • BenefitPoint maintenance.
  • Mineral client set up & tracking.
  • Check in regularly with clients to ensure timely problem resolution and to avoid new issues.
  • Update clients with regulatory changes and carrier related information occurring between renewals.
  • Review client "Rolling 12" report for accuracy and completeness each month when received.
  • Determine what new benefits may add value to the client's benefit package, e.g., voluntary benefits. Successfully sell the decision maker on implementing the new benefits.
  • Refer other TRG services to client where appropriate (retirement plans, individual life and disability insurance, etc.).
  • Quote and sell individual life insurance, long term care and disability insurance plans.
  • Respond to inquiries from individual benefit purchasers and beneficiaries

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide backup service to SBU team members and clients' employees.
  • Familiar with all small group products and carrier offerings.
  • Communicate with other TRG producers to crosssell, bring added value to clients.
  • Comfortable using virtual communication technology e.g. Skype, Go-ToMeeting, Zoom, MS Teams etc.
  • Attend inperson staff meetings and industry conferences. As requested, represent TRG at conferences e.g. populate table/booth if TRG has one at a conference.
  • Special projects, as identified and assigned.
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:


  • Education
    :4year college degree required
:


  • Minimum: Twotothree years' experience in an account management role, preferably in employee benefits or insurance industry.
  • Must maintain a health, life and disability license with the State(s) of doing business.
  • Employee benefit experience in the role of servicing and/or selling to groups.
  • Strong experience in communicating employee benefit information.
  • Must possess exceptional independent judgement and decisionmaking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations in a positive manner.
  • Ability to travel by car as position requires regular car travel to clients and vendors, often two hours and greater one way.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer.
  • Must be highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams required.
