Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team.
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems to streamline our processes and enhance overall efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation technologies, a proven track record of successful project implementation, and the ability to lead a team.
Responsibilities:
Automation System Design:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Programming and Scripting:
Develop and maintain automation scripts and programs to control and monitor various systems and processes. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# is essential.
Control System Integration:
Integrate automation solutions with existing control systems and ensure seamless communication between different components of the automation infrastructure.
Testing and Validation:
Conduct thorough testing of automated systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with quality standards. Develop and execute test scripts to validate system functionality.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Identify and resolve issues related to automation systems promptly. Implement preventive maintenance measures to ensure the continuous operation of automated equipment.
Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation systems, including design specifications, operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Collaboration and Leadership:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, and project managers. Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior automation engineers.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in automation. Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience as an Automation Engineer, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
In-depth knowledge of industrial automation technologies, including PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMI interfaces.
Experience with robotic process automation (RPA) is desirable.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and lead projects from conception to completion.
