    Job Title
    Sr Technical Trainer

    This position is responsible for the growth and development of our operations team for a given region, overseeing multiple facilities. In partnership with the plant leadership and global learning, this position will develop, conduct, and evaluate training programs to drive consistency in application across locations. The Sr Technical Trainer will use their skills and subject matter expertise to deliver hands-on training to serve a diverse population of both new hires and existing employees. This position will be immersed in supporting our new hires in the technical aspects of their new roles and partner with other SMEs to develop a holistic approach to training. The Sr Technical Trainer will be a member of CoorsTek Academy faculty and will report directly to the Global Director of Technical Training to help create an exceptional employee experience, contribute to accomplishing the operational metrics and create opportunities for our operators to learn and grow as a part of our overall growth strategy. In addition, the Sr Technical Trainer will coach, mentor and train the Technical Trainers working in the plant locations.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for development and delivery of training materials to Technical Trainers that support on location products, processes and technologies so as to ensure that team members develop, maintain, and increase their own technical and/or process knowledge.
    • Support Technical Trainers as they manage progression training process to keep employees on track for growth within their manufacturing career path.
    • On a regional basis throughout US and Canadian plant locations, guides local Technical Trainer to schedule, conduct, and record completed training for production employees to ensure alignment with established internal and external standards.
    • Evaluate training needs and certification requirements and update training materials to reflect.
    • Present training materials to targeted personnel in a classroom setting, on the production floor, or via computer based online training; assess effectiveness through follow-up and knowledge testing.
    • Guide trainers/employees where needed and required through training tools (e.g., workday) and explain job aids and capture feedback of trainers/employees.
    • Coach trainers and provide feedback relative to their performance. Administer assessments as needed in relation to training milestones.
    • Review feedback regarding the quality and consistency of course content across supported region to ensure cohesive application.
    • Manage the training program in accordance with business needs, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management System.
    • Assist in developing training standards and ensure consistent application across region.
    • Design, develop, implement and evaluate training plans, curricula, and methodology as well as train local training resources.
    • Foster training and learning mindset amongst employees and Technical Trainers.
    • Develop project plans for various training programs/initiatives that include timelines, roles and responsibilities with due dates in order to deliver on established training goals.
    • Assist and/or perform in all areas as assigned.
    Job Requirements:

    Education:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent (side-entrant with demonstrable business and/or training experience).
    Experience:
    • 5 years related work experience including manufacturing and technical training.
    Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Must have demonstrated proficiency with CoorsTek related processes, systems, and a functional knowledge of CORE.
    • Moderate to advanced proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office and Outlook required.
    • Knowledge of ceramic manufacturing processes, products and materials preferred.
    • Demonstrated leadership and coaching/mentoring ability.
    • Exhibit strong interpersonal and organizational skills, great attention to detail as well as excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
    Position Specific Title and Responsibilities
    • Coordinate or perform administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs.
    • Deliver classroom Instructor Led Training (ILT), one-on-one, and Structured On-the Job Training (SOJT).
    • Identify and distribute needed training for targeted employees in operations.
    • Guide and train Technical Trainers and aide in their professional development.
