Our client, located in Fairfax, VA is seeking an experienced Project Manager for an 18+ month onsite contract to lead a forms modernization project.
This enterprise-wide initiative is designed to transform over 300 forms in various formats into a consistent and streamlined look and feel.
We are in search of a seasoned Project Manager with a strong background in managing enterprise-wide implementations.The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing this critical project, working closely with internal teams and subject matter experts (SMEs).
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, specifically focused on forms modernization.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand project objectives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Lead and manage a project team, including core employees and subject matter experts, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Identify and assess potential risks and challenges, and develop strategies to mitigate these issues to keep the project on track.
Track project progress, report on key milestones, and make necessary adjustments to ensure the project's success.
Regularly update internal and external stakeholders on project status and outcomes, manage change requests effectively, and provide clear direction to the project team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Project Management).
Demonstrated expertise in project management, especially with enterprise-wide initiatives.
Background in Finance.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
Proficient in creating and interpreting Gantt charts.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and other spreadsheet functionalities.
Familiarity with Jira Plus.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
Competence in utilizing various project management software and tools.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Knowledgeable about industry best practices and project management methodologies.
