    Summary:

    Deliver comprehensive administrative and technical management for water resource construction projects using Alternative Delivery and Design Build principles.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Set project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate policy limits.
    • Experience with Florida Water Management Districts is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of USACE is a plus.
    • DBIA Associate or Professional Designation preferred, or the ability to obtain it.
    • Collaborate with all disciplines from engineering to construction through permitting.
    • Monitor and control construction by communicating with on-site superintendent to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget; address potentially serious issues promptly.
    • Represent the company in project meetings; contribute to labor negotiations and strategy sessions.
    • Manage contract finances to safeguard the company's interests and maintain a positive client relationship.
    • Undertake additional responsibilities as instructed by corporate leadership.
    • Engage in initial client communication to evaluate project scope and resource needs for successful project completion.
    • Prepare comprehensive estimates for selected projects, with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff information, and contracts.
    • Supervise the entire construction process to ensure alignment with design, budget, and schedule. This involves interacting with client representatives, AE representatives, other contractors, etc.
    • Plan, coordinate, and oversee onsite activities (scheduling, engineering, material control) and provide direction to onsite administrative staff in areas like accounting and purchasing.
    • Offer technical support, such as interpreting drawings, proposing construction methods and equipment, as necessary. Initiate and manage extra work estimations and change order processing.
    • Take charge of crafts productivity, material and equipment efficiency, and project contractual performance.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    May directly supervise multiple Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers. Projects may involve up to 20 supervisors overseeing crews of 200+.

    Requirements:

    Understanding of construction, design, finance, and management. Application of innovative and efficient management practices to enhance employee performance. Thorough grasp of corporate and industry norms, procedures, standards, and operations.

    Education and Experience:

    • Four-year degree or equivalent mix of technical training and/or relevant experience.
    • Minimum of five years in construction management as a Project Manager, with experience in estimating, and/or craft supervision, and familiarity with similar facility construction.
    • In-depth knowledge of all construction aspects (technology, equipment, methods), craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, estimating, schedules, and safety.
