    Research:
    We will develop and support a rich array of outstanding health sciences research programs, centers, and resources. We will foster programs in the areas of basic, translational, mechanistic, and population research.

    Position Summary

    The NCTU is managing a complex mix of trials among multiple departments, including Neurology, Neurosurgery and ENT.

    This position manages, conducts, and evaluates the social/clinical research associated with the Neurosciences Clinical Trials Unit, a division within the Department of Neurology.

    The work performed is to support the expanding research programs.


    This position validates data/information collection, documentation, and analysis with a goal of performing and ensuring that good clinical practice guidelines are followed.

    The range of duties include, but not limited to:
    management of projects, (planning and design, data/information collection and analysis, project administration and oversight).

    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

    Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

    Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

    The candidate must be able to:

    • Work independently and to multitask
    • Plan work to meet established deadlines
    • Maintain organization
    • Identify basic principles of social/clinical research
    This person must have strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail. The Clinical Research Assistant must be familiar with IRB and HIPAA regulations.

    Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience


    • Knowledge in a related area, e.g., Psychology, Biology, Social Work
    • Experience with clinical trial research and data entry
    • Experience in clinical and research activities involving patients and families
