The Youth and Drug Counseling Working Group in the Warendorf district, located in Ahlen, was founded in 1980 and is now a county-wide provider of child and youth services, as well as other low-threshold offers for addiction prevention and drug counseling.

We are a small, innovative organization and offer various benefits (see below).


Responsibilities:

  • Primary: Counseling for individuals with addiction or at risk of addiction, as well as their family members
  • Referral of clients to detox and rehabilitation treatments
  • Prevention work, crisis interventions, motivation
  • Conducting aftercare treatment
  • Secondary (approx. 10%): Accompanying and supporting individuals in their home environment, including managing daily life, organizing leisure activities, and maintaining social relationships
  • Providing guidance and support for appointments with authorities, agencies, and doctors
  • Documenting all work processes and support processes
  • As needed, working in other social work areas within the organization

Qualifications:

  • Degree (BA, MA, Diploma) in Social Work, Education, or related field
  • Interest in and ideally some experience working with individuals with addiction issues, as well as knowledge of social law
  • High level of flexibility and ability to work independently
  • Empathy and selfreflection skills
  • Motivation for personal and professional development
  • Driver's license and access to own vehicle
