Head of the Building Department (m/f/d)

The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
Your professional challenge includes the following focal points in the areas of:

  • High and civil engineering
  • Construction planning, control and construction management tasks; projects as new construction, conversion, expansion and/or renovation measures
  • Implementation of maintenance, repair and modernization measures
  • Performance of the function as the responsible party for public municipal traffic areas
  • Budget planning and cost control
  • Acquisition and settlement of funding
  • Preparation of municipal statutes and fee calculations
  • Planning and implementation of municipal construction projects and the necessary tendering and award procedures
  • Statements in building law administrative proceedings
  • Coordination, monitoring and management of ongoing business transactions as well as correspondence in the area of municipal properties
  • Development and preparation of fundamental decisions in the department as well as preparation and implementation of resolutions of the municipal bodies
  • Professional management of the department with guidance of employees, support in solving difficult professional issues
  • Participation in meetings (e.g. municipal council meetings, committees, local councils)
  • Close and trusting cooperation with the mayor and other department heads as well as the political bodies
