Summary:
Under the supervision of a higher level professional nurse, the Lactation Nurse will assist in the clinical management of patients using accepted nursing practice such as the diagnosis and treatment of human responses to actual and potential health problems through such services as case findings, health counseling and provision of care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being, and executing medical regimens prescribed by a physician.
License:
Current license in New York State as a Registered Professional Nurse. Certified in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association. Lactation certification is required (IBCLC). Training and
Experience:
must have one year of professional nursing experience in the area of Lactation and BSN preferred.
