The Resettlement Manager oversees the Resettlement Department in Rock Island County, IL and provides strategic support and vision for the Reception & Placement, Matching Grant, and Refugee Support Services programs.

This position is key to the vision of welcoming and promoting integration of refugees and immigrants in the community. This position oversees a team of caseworkers and routine monitoring of cases to ensure full compliance with grant guidelines.

  • Staff Supervision
  • Hire, onboard, train, supervise, and evaluate team members
  • Provide leadership to the resettlement team by holding oneonone meetings with all direct reports, delegating duties and responsibilities, providing consistent and ongoing feedback and communication, and mentoring and coaching team members, supporting their professional development
  • Implement and document annual and ongoing training plans per Home Office, PRM, and ORR requirements
  • Engage direct reports in annual performance management cycle including goal setting, quarterly progress checkins, and annual performance evaluations
  • Address performance concerns proactively and manage disciplinary action as needed
  • Offer mentorship and support to the resettlement caseworkers to enhance their ability to deliver highquality services, effectively respond to client needs, and fulfill program requirements
  • Program Development and Management
  • Support the resettlement team in developing and delivering highquality strengthsbased casework and ensure timely, proactive core services
  • Oversee service implementation and improvement to ensure progress towards the R&P, MG, and RSS goals
  • Disseminate information that comes from the Home office, PRM, and ORR, providing guidance and training to ensure that team members understand new policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Finance Specialist for program financial needs and to ensure all client funds are tracked timely and appropriately
  • Collaborate with the Volunteer Coordinator to develop and maintain opportunities for WR volunteers to integrate with and support resettlement programming
  • Promote a clientcentered service approach that demonstrates respect for and empowers clients
  • Provide guidance to the team on client grievances and cases that require more support to meet heightened needs
  • Develop annual goals and projections and ensure monthly and quarterly client service targets are met in accordance with grant guidelines
  • Program Monitoring & Evaluation
  • Create and implement systems to ensure consistent and complete documentation of R&P, MG, and RSS services provided including case notes, service plans and assessments and data reported
  • Conduct regular quality assurance on case files, case notes, and reports in Dynamics and Salesforce


This role is responsible for supervising others and includes responsibilities consistent with supervising employees including but not limited to monitoring daily work activities, tracking and approving timesheets including approving time off, monitoring performance including entering goals, progress check-ins, and weekly or bi-weekly check-ins, documenting performance concerns, entering staff promotions, transitions, and separations in HRIS within required time frame.
