    Logistics Coordinator

    Your Tasks

As a Logistics Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the seamless coordination of inbound and outbound trucks at Aurubis Richmond. This entails greeting drivers, facilitating their entry and exit from the premises, and ensuring efficient traffic flow. You will verify and audit all paperwork submitted by drivers to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations, including bills of lading, shipping manifests, customs documentation, and delivery receipts. Anticipating arrivals and departures of trucks, materials, and shipments will be essential, requiring you to maintain and reference daily and weekly schedules effectively. Managing documentation, coordinating with vendors, ensuring compliance with regulations, addressing security concerns, and providing excellent customer service are all integral aspects of this role. Proactively identifying and resolving issues, continuously improving processes, and responding effectively to nonconformities will be key to your success in this position.

    • Troubleshoot Issues: Proactively identify and resolve issues related to transportation, logistics, and paperwork to minimize disruptions and delays.
    • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
    • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond effectively to emergencies or unexpected situations, such as accidents, breakdowns, or severe weather conditions, to ensure the safety and well-being of personnel and assets.
    • Training and Development: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, and participate in company sponsored training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills related to transportation and logistics management.
    • Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Stay informed about relevant regulations and standards governing transportation, import/export, and safety, and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
