    Description

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • The Assistant Plant Manager is responsible for supervising exempt and non-exempt staff, conducting performance evaluations, approving paid time-off (PTO), assigning work, providing on-the-job training, offering guidance, taking disciplinary action, and interviewing candidates.
    • Directly supervise work crews processing materials safely and productively.
    • Assign operating equipment and personnel to ensure efficient material flow.
    • Coordinate work for quality assurance and meeting deadlines.
    • Maintain time and production records.
    • Participate in environmental, health and safety policies.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Hold an associate degree. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in raw materials manufacturing industry in a plant setup. Experience in pressure-treated wood products manufacturing is a plus.
    • 2 years of supervisory experience.
    • Flexible in shifts as required.
    • Excellent communication skills.
