    Sr. R&D Engineer (Machine Vision)

    The company, founded in 2002 in Seoul, South Korea, is the world leader in 3D measurement and inspection technology used in the production of micro-electronics assemblies.

    Using patented 3D technology, the company provides best-in-class products in Solder Paste Inspection(SPI) and Automated Optical Inspection(AOI) for electronics manufacturers worldwide.


    The branch located in Duluth, GA has been serving business partners in North America with sales and technical support since 2010.

    In addition to the company's sales and support for North America, the company's Research center was established in 2016 in San Diego, CA as a Research & Development hub for artificial intelligence and deep learning technologies.

    [Job Summary]
    Our client is seeking a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to join our team.

    The successful candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, computer science, or a related field, as well as experience in programming languages.

    Responsibilities will include developing and implementing AI algorithms for machine vision inspection.

    As a Senior AI R&D Engineer at the company, you will be a technical leader in the organization, leading teams and projects for the company's inspection equipment.

    [Job Description]

    • Researches and develops scalable computer vision and machine learning solutions to a hard problem
    • Investigates and solves exciting and difficult challenges of the realworld problems in image recognition/classification, object detection/recognition, 3D scan and deep learning
    • Designs, implements, and deploys fullstack computer vision and machine learning solutions
    • Detailed Duties and skills
    1) Image Enhancement

    • Ghost removal / De-blurring / Contrast Enhancement
    2) Color Image Processing

    • Denoising / Image Domain Transformation / Smoothing & Sharpening
    3) Segmentation

    • Semantic Segmentation / Instance Segmentation
    4) Various Region Detection on Images

    • Saliency / Anomaly
    • Shape matching / Blob from multi-modal data / Model Fitting
    5) Classification

    • Small Data driven / Big Data driven
    6) 3D / Depth image processing development

    • Transformations / Denoising (Artifact, ) / Reconstruction / Ensemble
    7) Stereo Vision

    • Camera Calibration / Depth Estimation
    8) Deep Learning Network Training and Deployment to wide range of CV application

    • Performs other duties as assigned
    [Qualifications]

    • M.S. with 5 years of experience or Ph.
    D. with 3 years of experience in Computer Science or related field

    • Experience to Research and Develop to Classical Computer Vision Algorithm
    • Experience to Research and Develop Machine Learning
    • Experience to Deploy CUDA processing
    • C++ code optimization in performancewise to image processing
    • Experience with at least of the programming language C++ / Python / CUDA
    [The Work Environment]
    No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required.

    30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work.

    Minimal travel required. Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.
