- Learn applicable NFPA standards and local codes
- Read, interpret, and coordinate with building plans
- Prepare basic shop drawings & hydraulic calculations with the assistance of a more experienced designer
- Coordinate simple wet sprinkler systems
- Attend coordination & project meetings
- Prepare field installation drawings and prefabrication report
- Field measure existing conditions
- Stock list/prefabricate CPVC piping
- Prepare record drawings
- Promote a positive safety culture by adhering to policies and procedures set out by the department.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD/HydraCAD, and Navisworks
- Revit experience welcome but not required.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve.
- Demonstrated ability to manage shifting priorities.
