POSITION OVERVIEW

The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing security operations and safety of students, employees and visitors while on school grounds.

The Security Supervisor will report to the Director of Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee daily safety operations, ensuring constructive and positive communications and customer serviceoriented relationships with faculty, staff, students and visitors.
Patrols and monitors school buildings, grounds, parking lots, perimeter, restrooms and eating areas to enforce school rules with regard to safety and student behavior, etc., to prevent loitering and ensure compliance with school regulations and local laws.
Works with Director of Operations to manage Emergency Response Plans, including facilitation of scheduled drills and ensures appropriate response for all campus facilitiesrelated emergencies.
Serves as a liaison to police, sheriff, and fire department personnel.
Manage or support School federal and state regulatory compliance requirements, including Cal/OSHA, LA Educational Code and all fire and life safetyrelated codes and requirements.
Support budgeting process and budget needs on an ongoing basis, including accurate tracking and forecasting expenditures.
Supervise staff and conduct annual performance reviews.
Prepare, update and regularly communicate schedules.
Model and manage staff to a high safety standard.
Model Milken values.
Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures.
Recruit, train and supervise security officers.
Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs.
Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events.
Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms.
Review reports on incidents and breaches.
Investigate and resolve issues.
Create reports for management on security status.
Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology).
Meet with security managers at local schools and businesses to discuss security trends and issues.
Maintain firearm certification and follow security training requirements.
Perform other related work duties, including providing support to other Operations areas as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

5 years or more of directly related experience in security/operations management.
Must pass a Livescan background check and TB Clearance.
Ability to work with and around people in a positive and cooperative manner.
Valid California Driver's License.
Must possess strong analytical skills.
Able to be on feet and walk for extended periods, including on uneven, unsteady terrain.
Able to access confined or otherwise difficulttoreach spaces.
Able to lift and carry 40 pounds for up to 20 feet.
Maintenance work order software experience preferred.
Strong understanding of security needs for Jewish School.
Strong team builder.
Possess BSIS guard card with firearm permit.
Valid certification for CPR/AED/First Aid.

SALARY RANGE:
$66,500 - $80,000.
